Privacy Policy

Plain version: we collect what we need to write your report and email it to you. We don't sell your data. When we advertise, standard ad-measurement cookies may be used — details below.

Who we are

KitchenKit Atlas ("we," "us") sells research reports on used commercial ice machines, delivered by email. We are a sole-proprietor business based in California, USA. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

• Your email address — collected at checkout and used to deliver your report and receipt.
• The details you send us to complete a report — the listing URL, photos (including data-plate photos), the model/serial number, your ZIP code, what the seller told you, and your deadline if any. You provide these voluntarily on our intake form after payment, or by replying to your receipt.
• Payment information — processed directly by Stripe. We receive a confirmation that you paid and the last digits/brand of your card for our records; we never receive or store your full card number.
• A channel tag — if you arrived from one of our posts, a short source label (e.g. "reddit") travels with your checkout so we know which communities our reports are useful to. It is not tied to any tracking profile and contains no personal information.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
• We do not build our own advertising profiles of you or track you across other websites ourselves.
• Stripe's checkout, which opens when you buy, operates under Stripe's own privacy policy.

Advertising & measurement

We advertise on platforms like Google and Meta. To measure whether those ads work, this site may load those platforms' standard measurement code, which can set cookies or use device identifiers. This helps us know an ad led to a visit or purchase, and helps those platforms show our ads to people more likely to find them useful. These platforms process that data under their own policies: Google · Meta.

Your opt-outs: Google Ads Settings · Meta Ad Preferences · industry-wide at aboutads.info — or use your browser's tracking-protection settings. You can also email [email protected] and we'll honor your opt-out request directly.

How we use your information

• To research, write, and email your report.
• To reply to your questions and provide support or refunds.
• To keep basic records of orders for accounting and tax purposes.
• In aggregate and anonymized form, to understand which machine models people ask about most, so we can expand our coverage.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the business run, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — website hosting and email delivery. Cloudflare may log technical data such as IP addresses as part of serving and protecting the site. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Web3Forms — delivers the details you submit on our intake form to our inbox. See Web3Forms' Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law. If the business is ever sold or transferred, order records may transfer with it.

How long we keep it

We keep your order and correspondence records as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and tax obligations, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below); we'll honor it except where we're required to retain a record.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can email [email protected] to:

• Ask what information we hold about you,
• Ask us to correct or delete it,
• Ask us not to use it for anything beyond fulfilling your order.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and the right to opt out of its sale or “sharing” (which under California law can include ad-measurement cookies). We don't sell your data; to opt out of ad-measurement sharing, use the opt-out links in the Advertising section or email us. EU/UK residents (GDPR): our legal basis for processing is performing the service you purchased and our legitimate interest in running the business; you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection. We honor these requests without discrimination.

Children

This is a business-to-buyer service for commercial equipment and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use existing customers' data will be noted here.
